One sat up and listened, thinking that perhaps his ears were deceiving him, but in reality he was hearing the salam of the prayer.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un...”
He said as he pulled out his phone, he checked the time, it was five minutes past twelve, his stomach growled, it was definitely hunger since he hadn't eaten anything good last night, then his stomach growled again, this one more of a nervous sound, he quickly got out of bed, opened the door to his room and headed towards the path that would lead him to Jamila's room, no matter how deep his thoughts were, he couldn't remember the day Jamila was late, if it wasn't for her, he was sure the guards would have put him on the list of men who hadn't been seen at the mosque for the morning prayers.
“Jamila...”
He called after pushing the door of her room, he saw her lying on the floor, her body wearing a gray hijab, her body curled up in one place, as if she had prayed to sleep, he took her there, he ended up stroking her a little while calling her name again.
“Jamila”
She moved with the name of Allah in her mouth, yawning and trying to straighten up.
“How are you today?”
She sat up straight.
“I prayed, I don't know if I should have slept or not.”
A little while later, Baffa heard that she was fine.
“Well, she's not here today, so we're late.”
Jamila, with the tension she had borrowed, spread her arms across her face and said,
“Subhanallah, is it too late?”
She reaches out and picks up her phone that is on the bed.
“By God...”
After looking at him, she said
“Oh, I'm just sleeping, and you know I didn't set an alarm since I'm already used to waking up.”
Kai Baffa tightened his grip and lowered his hand.
“God is good, but I'm worried, because I didn't eat anything good yesterday, and I have a job ahead of me at the shop today. Have I ever been so impatient in my life?”
Then she felt her heart skip a beat, her compassion for him seeking her forgiveness, and her mind returned to her with his words.
“But you've been helping me a lot since you came to me, I don't think I'll be able to help this woman, but I'll just have to wait...”
I felt a little sorry for him and he smiled.
“If Allah wills it, then you should find it and pray. When I leave, let me join the servants...”
